  • Parent/Community Member Sought for Northshore School District Curriculum Materials Adoption

    Northshore School District Curriculum Materials Adoption Committee (CMAC) is a 16-member committee with responsibility for ensuring that the selection of appropriate instructional materials for Northshore School District students is conducted in a professional manner by a deliberative body of teachers, administrators, and parent/community members. The Northshore School District is seeking applications to replace outgoing parent/community members of the CMAC. Currently there are two openings for parents/community members on this committee. This is a voluntary position with a term of three years, appointed by the Superintendent.
  • Applications are due by September 25, 2024. The first meeting will take place on October 7, 2024, at 3:30 PM via Zoom.

    CMAC members are expected to:

    • Comply with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the learning goals and standards set by the state and district.
    • Attend all monthly committee meetings and come prepared by reviewing all documents submitted by sponsor groups.
    • Review materials submitted for consideration and complete reviewer forms within the established timelines.
